The Birth Choice Doula Collective (BCDC) is a small community of birth and post-partum doulas practicing in the East Bay Area who came together because they share similar philosophies and styles in supporting women and their partners through the birthing process.

The BCDC is committed to providing families with nurturing support, and evidence-based information, beginning in the prenatal period through birth and post-partum. It is of utmost importance to the women of BCDC that families feel empowered to birth their children according to their own desires and the unique course of the labor. Birth, like raising children, is a very personal and individual process.

As a collective these women are able to ensure that there is always a back-up doula available in the unlikely event that there is an emergency and the primary doula cannot attend the birth. In these few pages you will learn a little more about each of the members. Thank you for visiting.
